Trip Itinerary
Day 1: London to Paris
A warm welcome from your Contiki Crew as we head for the White Cliffs
of Dover and the Channel crossing to France. We drive past World War I
battlefields to the splendour of Paris. What better way to begin than
with an evening tour of the “City of Lights” and a first glimpse of the
Eiffel Tower? (D)
Day 2: Paris
Today’s sightseeing includes some of the most celebrated icons of Europe.
Perhaps take the opportunity to visit the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre
Dame, Arc de Triomphe or the Champs Élysées. Tonight, why not complete
your Parisian experience with a French meal and a famous Parisian cabaret?

Day 3: Paris to Lucerne
Our path takes us toward the towering Alps and vast serene lakes of Switzerland
where we take a cable car or cog rail up Mt. Pilatus to our hotel. (B,D)
Day 4: Lucerne
Spend the day exploring this beautiful lakeside town. See the Lion Monument,
walk across the Chapel Bridge and wander the cobbled streets. See the
city at its best by joining us for a trip up a mountain and a cruise on
beautiful Lake Lucerne. (B,D)
Day 5: Lucerne to French Riviera
This morning we leave Switzerland behind and travel south in to Italy.
We pass through the stunning Lake District in the north of the country
before crossing into France and on to the French Riviera. (B,D)
Day 6: French Riviera
Rub shoulders with the rich and famous on the Nice promenade, shop for
French fashion or laze the day away on the sun-drenched beaches. Tonight
we visit Monaco! Why not join us tonight for an elegant meal, view the
Royal Palace and take the opportunity to try your luck at the casinos
of Monte Carlo? (B)
Day 7: French Riviera to Florence
Today we visit a French perfumery before arriving in Italy to see the
Leaning Tower of Pisa. We travel past the vineyards and olive groves of
Tuscany to the most spectacular of Renaissance cities, Florence. (B)
Day 8: Florence to Rome
Learn about the Duomo, Giotto’s Bell-Tower, Piazza della Signoria and
Santa Croce as our expert local guide walks us through the city this morning.
Shop for silver and gold and see a demonstration of Florentine leathercraft.
In your free time perhaps visit one of the many museums and galleries
before we continue to the fabled city of Rome. Do as the Romans do and
stroll past the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Later
be delighted by your first glimpse of the Colosseum on our sightseeing
tour. (B)
Day 9: Rome
Ancient and modern Rome await your discovery. Why not take a guided tour
of the Imperial Forum and walk in the footsteps of Gladiators? In your
free time explore the Vatican City and Sistine Chapel, snap up Italian
fashions or just watch the world go by with a gelato (or two). (B,D)
Day 10: Rome to Venice
Soak in the changing scenery of Italy as we drive past golden plains,
vineyards and quaint hilltop towns. We cross the Appennine Mountains before
reaching Venice. (B,D)
Day 11: Venice
A short boat ride takes us into the historical centre of Venice to see
St Mark’s Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doges’ Palace. Ample time
to wander the bustling streets, see the skill required to create local
crafts such as Venetian glass and fine lace and visit one of the many
amazing museums. Why not treat yourself to a gondola ride and evening
meal with your fellow travellers as a perfect end to your Venetian experience?

Day 12: Venice to Austrian Tyrol
Passing Trieste we say “arrivaderci” to Italy and make our way to Austria

Day 14: Austrian Tyrol to Munich
Prost! On to Bavaria’s lively capital Munich, home to the Oktoberfest.Tonight

Day 15: Munich to Vienna
On to Austrias capital - classical musical recital tonight. (B)
Day 16: Vienna to Prague
Through Bohemia to Prague, Czech. (B,D)
Day 17: Prague
Plenty of free time to enjoy this medievial city. (B,D)
Day 18: Prague to Rhine Valey
Thru Germany to the Rhine,.tonight we stay in the picturesque Rhine Valley.

Day 19: Rhine Valley to Amsterdam
Today’s agenda includes a pretty drive following the Rhine River before
we cross the border and travel to the Dutch countryside to visit a cheese
farm where you can also see clogs being made. Later see this fascinating
city by night. (B,D)
Day 20: Amsterdam
Today take a guided bike ride through the quaint village of Edam before
time to explore one of Europe’s most intriguing cities. Use your free
time to visit Anne Frank’s House or the Van Gogh Musem and later why not
join us for our farewell dinner and a guided cruise through the canals
of Amsterdam. (B)
