Please allow plenty of time to apply for a Working Holiday
and Ancestry visas. Allow 3 weeks to get an appointment
for the Biometrics procedure in Auckland, Wellington
or Christchurch + another 3-4 weeks for the visa to
be processed at the Embassy. The British High Commission
has advised us of the following tips:
Ensure ALL the documents requested on the British High
Commissions website are lodged with the Embassy.
If evidence of funds is being requested, ensure the
required balance is shown on the bank statement i.e.
£2000 for a Working Holiday visa.
Enclose the Biometric Appointment Confirmation form
when lodging the visa, so that the BHC can establish
that part of the process has been undertaken and enable
them to match up the visa application with the Biometric
data.
Do not complete the visa form on line more than 2 months
before the Biometric is undertaken otherwise when the
Biometric data reaches the High Commission the online
application will have expired and dropped off the computer...
